Project Overview

A web based application which helps in managing auto repairs. From estimating a vehicle servicing to easily tracking a purchase order, everything is managed in the car maintenance app. The software helps auto shops to run faster, smarter, and grow their business with customer satisfaction. In other seamless feature integrations the service application has smooth invoice generation, track record of customer service, schedule/reschedule appointment, and many other intuitive functionalities. The main goal of this shop management software is to align all your manual functionalities into an automated cloud-based system. The car repair app provides an organized inspection to a vendor as well as a customer avoiding all the miscommunication and unnecessary hassle of managing a service.

Challenges

UX Design for Garage and Customer Inputs
The biggest challenge was to set the UX for the Garage and Customer inputs.
Creating multiple input fields and crafting the flow from the garage to the customer was complex.
The interface had to serve both vendor and customer workflows without confusion.
Real-Time Car Estimation Updates
The end-user challenge was how to estimate the car and get it updated to customers in real-time.
Estimates needed to reflect live pricing and service changes instantly.
Customers expected immediate visibility into cost breakdowns and service progress.
Minimal and Elegant UI/UX Design
The team had to set a minimal and elegant UI/UX for the web app.
Car estimate and health reports along with invoices and vendor management had to be presented clearly.
All elements had to be easily understandable at a glance for non-technical users.
Easy Access to Multiple Features
There were multiple fields, processes, flow, and data to manage.
We had to make it easy to access features in the web app at any point.
A user should easily access features was the end goal of the navigation design.

Integrated Vehicle Health and Inventory Management
We integrated car health checkup for timely estimation of a vehicle along with organized inventory management for the vendor.
Every design is intuitively presented in the app to get an overview of the business scenario.
The notifications are integrated to the customers wherein they can avail invoices, payment, and services.

1. Effortless tracking of customers & cars

A vendor can track every record of a customer and its respective car at a glance from an organized data sheet. The list includes every intricate detail from a person's first name to his email address, vehicle count, etc.

2. Organized Workflow

An individual can easily view all his scheduled, confirmed, contacted, list of customers and its respective total amount is automatically calculated and seen on the dashboard. It gives a convenient business overview of the repairs done so far. Furthermore a user can move the card from one destination to another giving them a kanban board mode accessibility.

3. Overview of Invoices

A user can easily create, send, and take a print of the invoices as and when required. One can take an overview of unpaid invoices with its necessary details including name, bill number, amount left, and can contact the person according to it.

4. Schedule/Reschedule vehicle appointments

A vendor has freehand in the shop management software to schedule/reschedule a vehicle's appointment with apt information like order, name of the customer, email. Address, and technician who is going to perform his duties. One can also send reminders through a confirmation mail or SMS to manage timely vehicle servicing. If there is a slightest change in the appointment all the three parties i.e. user, vendor, and technician will immediately receive a notification for the same.

5. Create & Revise the estimates

An individual can seamlessly create an estimated cost for the inquiry generated by the customer and sent to him. One can also revise the estimate with necessary add ons or deductions by simply adding it. He can get the estimated invoice for futuristic purposes and maintain a record for the clients from the software itself. The vendor can message the customer about the car service, progress, estimate/quotations sent, invoice share, etc. in just a few clicks.

A service chosen by the customer becomes a predefined template for a vendor. One just has to add the client's personal details and save it. It helps in managing each service's record and saves time to manually enter it into a bill book.

Often we do keep huge files to manage vehicle records, and waste our time in finding one entry related to a particular client. With Automotive- car service application, you can easily track vehicles in service, check the status of its completion, and inspect the car as and when needed.
